Beautiful vintage handmade cotton quilt or summer coverlet featuring intricate hand-crocheted floral appliqués connected by hand-applied cord embroidery on an ivory cotton background.
The quilt is machine quilted with a geometric diamond/grid pattern and finished with a lovely scalloped edge. The cream-on-cream design makes it ideal for farmhouse, cottage, shabby chic, French country, or traditional décor.
This appears to date to approximately the 1935–1955 period and represents many hours of detailed handcrafted work.
