Original 1921 German Notgeld emergency currency issued by the town of Bad Sulza in Thuringia.
This colorful 50 Pfennig Spa Series note is dated July 19, 1921 and features scenes associated with Bad Sulza’s historic spa industry. One side depicts the Inhalatorium, while the reverse shows visitors at the Trinkhalle with mineral-water fountain imagery.
The note states that it was redeemable by the municipal treasury and remained valid until December 31, 1922.
