The fronts feature colorful occupational illustrations with the slogan “Handwerk hat goldenen Boden”, meaning roughly “A skilled trade has a golden foundation” or “A trade is worth its weight in gold.”
The reverse identifies the issuer as Kreis-Handwerkerbund Schötzenau and shows the denominations prominently. These were local emergency-money/gutschein issues from the German inflation-era Notgeld period.
