Beautiful hand-carved Hopi Kachina (Katsina) doll signed by noted Hopi artists Helene and Haviat Spencer. This colorful figure features a traditional painted mask, natural feather headdress, leather and textile clothing, and is mounted on its original natural wood base.
The doll presents beautifully and remains fully intact with minor repairs needed. One arm has become loose over time and could be easily reattached by the next owner if desired. One foot has a small crack. Both minor issues are shown in the pictures. It displays well as-is and would make an excellent addition to a Native American art collection or Southwestern décor.
Signed examples by the Spencer family are sought after by collectors of Hopi carvings and Kachina dolls.
